It's been a while since I've published a decent journal entry.. "Gomen!" >3<

www.facebook.com/SophHimeCospl…Second, As some of you probably know, I have been really busy with our ECG group since november last year. We've been busy discussing our act, finding the perfect fabrics and trying out new things such as making armor with fiberglass and making loads of resin casts.
So following is a 'short' journal on how our trip to Japan Expo Paris/ECG was.

Wednesday:We (
SayaShinigami,
idromy, Kevin & me) left around 11am at my place for a +-3hr drive by car to Paris and arrived around +-2pm at the hotel in Roissy. Later that evening all ECG contestants got briefed as to what was going to happen the next 5 days. We heard the organisation rented a party bus that night for us. We had a few stops along the way in Paris and as you can see we all had a blast!
Thursday:This was a chill day. We got the day off from activities so I went for some merch shopping at the Expo.

Friday:This was the day our team wore our Petshop of Horrors cosplay. Every country got some some sort of short défilé on stage.
After the défilé we had some time to watch the WCS contest for France. Later that day when the expo was closed we got a repetition on stage which went kind of 'ok'. To bad they only gave us 1 try on stage. =__=;
Saturday = D-day!This was THE big day for everyone! We got up at 5 am to get ourself ready and have breakfast.
We had another repetition in the morning which went quite well.
After getting in our costumes and having a long wait backstage the time to go on stage was near! 8)
We were 4th group in line, everything went perfect on stage and it was over in a blink.
We met the lovely Kamui who was one of our judges. Her cosplays are even more amazing in real life!
After the compo was over we all had some photoshoots and a videoshoot with the other contestants. (I'm looking forward to seeing all of it

In the evening we had an ECG snack gathering where all of us brought some food or drinks from their country.

Sunday:This was a calm day, I popped on an easy,comfy cosplay and walked around the convention for a bit. I also watched the ECG S3 premilaries for France in the afternoon.

In the evening we had a meal at a 'geek café' which was pretty fun.
Monday"Time-to-go-home-day" D: We left the hotel at around 11 to go back home. Those 5 days went by so fast and we all felt sad for leaving.
I had so much fun and met so many wonderfull people over there, I really hope to meet every one of them again! + I'll defo go back to support our ECG S3 team next year.
Future cosplay plans:I am still doubting of entering the ECG solo contest in November. It depends on how well the costume goes and if I can come up with a good act.
If not maybe I'll enter the EC contest in March.
